Duramax Fuel System Schematic 1 reply. fc5452. 3521 posts · joined 2011. #3 · mar 10, 2017. there is no auxiliary pump on these duramax's , the duramax injection pump draws the fuel from the tank then increases its pressure to supply your injectors. the cp4 which is what the 11 16 have in them needs to supply 1450 psi during crank, if that regulator i pictured sticks open. The ecm supplies high voltage and provides a ground. voltage is supplied up to 160v at 20 amps, and can peak up to 240 v. this causes the injector to open. the capacitor discharges through an injector for initial opening and holds open with 12 v. injectors are grouped into four pairs: 1 4, 6 7, 2 5, and 3 8.
